15 months and going strong!

Emma had her 15 month appointment today, and she was a big girl in spite of the awful vaccination shots. The pictures here are BEFORE the shots, of course. There were not quite as many smiles afterwards.

I know every parent goes through this, but restraining Emma so the Dr. can poke her little legs with 4 needles pretty much ranks at the bottom of my list. I'm grateful that Joel insists on going to all her "shot" appointments with me as he is far stronger than I am when it comes to this scenario.

I am happy to report that Emma is right on-track (or ahead!) of all the goals for a normal 15 month old child. And, her weight and height put her in the 50th and 90th percentile, respectively.

What a cutie! I can sympathize with your dislike for the appointments that include immunizations. I think the look on your child's face of "why did you just LET this person hurt me mom?" is the worst part. Sounds like Emma is doing great!

Oh my, she has changed so much! Poor baby and the ouchie shots. I hate that.
