Some days

Emma's daily naps are dwindling (sniff - sniff). Some days she'll nap and some days she won't. I'm still figuring out how to deal with this. Emma is not a child who'll play with a card board box or a Tupperware lid, quietly, for an hour...

While I am mourning this change, I am also loving that fact that she goes to bed a LOT earlier, giving Joel and I some much needed, evening quiet time.

Everyday, I still tell her it's nap time and I put her to bed. Since she sleeps in our lower level, I still have a monitor in her room and can usually tell within minutes if it's a nap day...or not. If she is chattering and singing, no nap. If she's instantly quiet, it's a nap day.

Anyhow, after about an hour of resting in her bed today I told her she could get up and play, in her room, door closed, by herself. This has worked out pretty well thus far so I'm happy. Then, she came upstairs exclaiming that I NEEDED to come downstairs and see her room.

She was pretty proud of her babies lined up.
They were going on a trip to South Dakota.

Pretty much everything in her room was lined up
in the middle of her room.

We are still trying to recover from babies' trip
to South Dakota...
