Adoption Update

It is with heavy hearts that we have returned home today, after spending four days in eastern Michigan preparing to adopt a baby boy. In the end, the birthmom decided to parent the baby and we will remain a family of three for a while longer.

We thank everyone for their well wishes and prayers as we felt very upheld through the entire week.

And, while we are deeply saddened by the birthmom's decision, we are very much at peace and look forward with great HOPE to what God has planned for our family.

Brenda,
I don't know you but a friend passed on your post as a request for prayer. My wife and I have stood in your shoes. We know how excruciating this moment is; and we know the joy that the children we did eventually adopt have brought into our lives. God is there. He is listening. He wants to glorify Himself through this moment despite the best attempts of the evil one to destroy your faith. Hold on to Him.

So sorry to hear this. You all will be in our thoughts and prayers!

Wish there was something that I could say to make you feel better, but I know there isn't, so just know that we're all hurting over here with you...

You will be lifted up in our prayers. And although greatly disappointing, you've had the right attitude all along. Keep it up!
