Emma and I took a decadent break this morning and joined my friend and her two children for some doughnuts and playtime...risking life and limb of course.
While heading northbound on 131 this morning (even after News-8 said "stay off 131 between 54th & 28th streets!"), the roads appeared fine, so I made an innocent call on my cell. In fact, I was just mentioning to the person on the other end of the line how the roads were actually o.k. No more than 2 seconds later I came upon a rollover that had JUST happened. No emergency help had arrived yet and mere citizens were using their hands to frantically uncover the car's windows (and passengers inside!) that were deeply embedded into the many inches of snow. I barely touched my brakes and my car started gliding like a Olympic skater. I promptly got off the phone and concentrated just a little bit harder...I had some precious cargo (Emma) in the back seat ya know! :)
Anyhow, after that mild drama, we safely arrived at our destination.

How scary! Glad u got off your cell and made it to Krispy Kreme safely!! Now I want a donut.
I want a donut too!! why is it that I can literally eat 6 donuts from there and not even take the edge off my hunger? I may have to go check out the production line myself because I am convinced they consist of only fried air.
