48 hours and counting

I've officially been couped up since 8:15pm, Saturday night...that's over 48 hours without leaving our home. That's a long time for someone who likes to get out often, even if it's a quick trip to Target, the post office, a friend's house, etc. I also have been reminded how blessed we are to have a very healthy child. She has only been sick one other time with a 24 hour bug about this same time last year. I sure hope this trend continues!

Sunday morning, Emma woke up feeling very warm and her listlessness clearly told us she was not well. Emma does not sit still much and I bet she sat on Joel's lap for 75% of the day, only leaving his lap when the Ibuprofen kicked in. Thankfully Emma's only sign of illness was her on again, off again fever. I was expecting her to throw-up at some point during the day, but she didn't. Her bug was literally 24 hours. She had a short lived, low grade fever this morning, but after her 3 1/2 hour nap this afternoon (she was up at 5am this morning), she was pretty darn spunky.

It's funny how rules we let slide during her illness on Sunday (juice box on daddy's lap vs. in her chair, video after video, blanket and pacifier ALL day vs. only at nap time) were tested today and will probably be tested tomorrow too.

Back to toddler boot camp tomorrow...there is no room for backsliding, right?!

(My bark is far worse than my bite...I'm a softy!)
