Thankmas or Christgiving?

What are YOU doing for Thanksgiving? I always love to hear about other family's unique traditions, food creations and Thanksgiving day activities (or lack there of). I'm sure you're dying to know what the Hondorps are doing :) Well, since my parent's home and my in-town brother's home are BOTH in the midst of remodeling projects I will be blessed with hosting 17 mouths on Thursday. Not a bad number actually. We've hosted more. Thankfully we have plenty of room if we rearrange a little furniture. And, everyone is bringing a 'thing or two' to help feed the masses. Joel and I are in charge of the bird, the pig and potatoes. I thew the "I" in there to sound halfway helpful. In reality, I won't be touching any meat or potatoes. That is Joel's domain, territory, passion, etc. My role will be that of support-services...if necessary.

We normally eat this fine meal between noon and one as we MUST eat our mid-day meal at the same time every day, Thanksgiving or not! Schedules people! Then, the boys in my family will either talk about a handy-man project, or actually find one to do. Surprise, Joel and I have something in mind! The ladies will usually sit down to relax while the kids play a game or watch a movie. A very nice day if you ask me.

Then, a one day break for some mad shopping on Black Friday. Saturday, or Christmas for my side of the family, will again be hosted by yours truly. Since my out-of-town brother and my sis from CA will be here, we decided to pack it all in! Busy, busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day!!
