At 21 months old, Emma is definitely taking notice of various children's TV personalities and characters. Believe it or not I once thought that Emma's angelic eyes wouldn't grace a television until she was at least two years old, or older! Ah ya...not sure what happened there.
Anyhow, she actually does watch some mom-approved videos and television once in a while. Some of these include (but are not limited to): Caillou, Arthur, Signing Times, Barney, Praise Baby, Curious George and of course, Sesame Street!
My personal favorite is Signing Times, but Emma's very clear favorite is Barney. She is nearly obsessed with him. In fact, we have a couple old VHS tapes from my mom that I'm thinking of throwing over a cliff just so I don't have to listen to Emma beg me for the 'Barney's Car' video.
I do have to say though, when 30 minutes of me-time is necessary, its very tempting and downright wonderful to have something that'll divert her busy body.
