Another Glorious Day!

These are the days that make all the cold, blowing snow WORTH THE WAIT! I sure do get sick of Michigan winters, but Michigan summers are bar none!

Joel was on-call today (for his side job as a fireman) so we stuck around close to home, but played lots! This morning I woke up as Joel whipped together a batch of his famous whole wheat-n-flax seed pancakes with some turkey sausage on the side. Add a cup of coffee (or 2, or 3) and I guarantee you'll be on time to meet that man about a horse. Did I just say that?! Any who...

Next, was an outside play-fest thanks to dad, allowing me to have a bit of quiet time and a shower without any visitors. After Emma's three-hour nap (yipee!), we headed to the park for oodles of swinging, playing, running and a picnic with Grandpa & Grandma Hondorp.

I think I might mark this day down as close-to-perfect.
