We had a fantastic time last night! Annie was amazing...the actors, dancing, singing and choreography were superb. I was telling Joel how going to a musical (Broadway caliber) is like a vacation for my brain. I feel completely immersed in what is happening on stage with no room for any other brain activity (Ha!). I love that feeling.
This morning was a real treat. We had a fabulous breakfast brought up to our room by a white-gloved gentleman who delicately arranged our linen-draped table for our dining pleasure. It was wonderful to have a relaxing, quiet breakfast overlooking the Grand River Valley in three directions.
The best part of the weekend though, was going back to my parent's house and finding out that Emma was an angel and having her greet us with her precious toothless grin!

3 thing(s) you said:
I think that is why people love going to the movies too ... you get "immersed" in someone else's life for at least two hours! It sounds like you had a great time. I think parenting is so much more enjoyable when you can get mini-getaways. :) And BTW, I am so sorry that your daughter's first word was "kitty". Now if she had said, "kitty got hit by car" that would be cute. Just kidding of course.
It was great to see you today. You mentioned your weekend away but you didn't mention Annie! I'm so jealous. I wanted to take the girls to that. Oh well. Maybe next time. Cya next week!
Oh my gosh, my favorite thing about staying at Amway is the breakfast in the room overlooking the river!!! That is the best feeling. I love being pampered like that! So glad you had fun!
