Adoption Month

In case you don't know, November is adoption month. It seems that there is a different holiday-designation for every day/month now-a-days (thanks to Hallmark). Regardless, November will forever have a different meaning for us as our family continues to grow through adoption.

Speaking of adoption...we brought Emma home on February 14th and on December 14th (10 months to the day) we'll stand before a Judge who will finalize our family (according to the courts). This is the last and final step in the adoption process. Some people choose to memorialize this day and term it "Gotcha Day," but I think that is more for international adoptions. Either way, it'll be a sweet day for us and likely a catalyst to move forward with expanding the Hondorp clan once again!!
