Continuing The Process

This week, our home-study meetings begin. We have three consecutive, Tuesday, 90-minute meetings with our caseworker. The first two will take place at the agency and the last one will take place at our home. I'm not completely sure what the meetings will entail, but I'm gathering that we'll be asked to divulge nearly everything about ourselves, our lives, past and present as well as speak to our philosophy on child rearing. And, I couldn't be more excited as I already have a laundry list of questions.

I've been trying to focus my nervous and anxious energry...and praying for the child (and his/her mother) that will be ours. I can hardly even imagine that some young woman will carry her baby to term and then hand-it-over-to-us so that we may unconditionally love it and raise it. That concept is almost to much for me to grasp, but I know it is very much a reality for our near future!
