Girl's weekend REDEUX 2009

It just wasn't in the cards this year to imitate last year's girl weekend. This year it was a girl's day...and that was just fine. We took the opportunity to exploit the season of life we're all in and took a day trip to Rockford for 12 hours of much needed R & R. Aside from lusciously meandering (W/O KIDS!!!) the quaint town of Rockford, the gist of our respite took place at Jenny's new home which is in Rockford as well. Divine!

I must also note that sadly, 1/6 of us, or 0.1666666 of us was not present. Again, seasons of life, much better to embrace than have distaste!

And finally - we have to thank our wonderful husbands and families for allowing us to have the break. It was priceless!

Starting out the morning RIGHT with
fresh coffee and hot bagel

Matt graciously giving us gals the nickel
tour of his S.W.A.T car and gear

Jeanne trying to do some quick online shopping
from Matt's car :)

I love farmers' markets in general, but Rockford's is simply adorable

Here's the motley crew!

Bradi - darn serious about picking out some jewelery

There was NO shortage of laughter. all. day. long.
In fact, I was told that Matt & Jenny's neighbor heard us cackling all day long :)

Try at a self portrait

Cutey mamas!

Taking a leisurely break

Checking out a pheasant farm

Leisurely stroll...

The key word for the day was "leisure"
See exhibit 109B, above :)

Thanks Jenny! Your hosting abilities are bar none!

Did I mention there was also no shortage of food?
Girls have a way of overdoing it...ha...as if you didn't know that.

HERE'S TO NEXT YEAR!

Thanks for a great day ladies! Deborah...we MISSED you.

I quick peeked at the link from last year. Think of all that's happened since our weekend in Ludington....Sammers, Megan Mae, Baby Fred and Baby Wayne on the way, me married, and so so so many other things along the way. Wow. Alot can happen in a year. God is good!

Love you all. My door is always open!
