Ludington

What began as a flippant, dreamy suggestion many many months ago became a reality this past weekend as me and 5 other girls traveled to Ludington, Michigan for a weekend of relaxation. The six of us have been in a small group together (along with our husbands) for almost two years now and what a blessing it has been getting to know one another.

First and foremost it must be noted that without the awesome support of our husbands, our trip would not have been nearly as nice. Our very wonderful and capable husbands, who encouraged us to go, allowed the six of us time to reconnect after a busy summer.

It also helped knowing someone with a generous heart who let us use the condo for a measly cleaning fee. Yep - sign me up again, please!

The weather was great though Fall was definitely in the air! We spent our time talking, eating, walking, talking, eating, shopping, talking, eating, sleeping, talking, eating, reading, but mostly RELAXING :)

Our view of Lake Michigan. We also had a view of the Pere Marquette Lake
facing the other way as our condo was situated on a peninsula of sorts.

Exploring the beach upon arrival. We found COLD water.

Melissa & Jeanne at Jamesport Brewing Co.
in downtown Ludington, our Saturday evening dinner spot.

I'm very used to my home based creature comforts and
not pull out couch beds with a saltine cracker thin mattress and crumbs galore.
I survived :)

Leisurely sipping coffee after sleeping in until 9am was
pretty much the highlight of the weekend for me! :)

Second that...annual small group girls retreat. I'm either enforcing menu restrictions next year or sewing my mouth shut. :)
