2nd Job

I'd be lying unless I said that I love my job outside the home. I heart my first job as a mom, but my second job is also a blessing. I love what I do, who I work with and the cause. I've been able to work from him since Emma was born and now, still, since Sam. Working from home certainly has it's challenges - wanting to do both things well. I can't believe I've been working for this organization since 2003.

Our annual staff (my org + some additional, related organizations) outing was on Thursday and hinged on nice weather. We were supposed to start in Holland on Lake Macatawa with drinks and appetizers while boating down to Saugutuck for our dinner destination, Marro's.

The weather was unforgiving so we opted for drinks and appetizers while docked, then drove down to Saugutuck for dinner. The evening ended with ice cream at Kilwin's where I had the most delectable ice-cream that has ever crossed my lips (and that's a lot, unfortunately). It was called "toasted coconut" and it had little chocolate flecks in it too making it taste like an Mounds candy bar, YUM!

Poor weather aside, we had a spectacular time!
