Much Joy

With two kids, I'm so eager to see how their personalities will differ and possibly, be the same (even though they are not blood related). And, possibly an interesting look at nature versus nature.

Our first born, Emma, has a personality that resonates Joy. While her busyness definitely brings this 36 year old mom to her tired knees by the end of nearly every day, she is SO. MUCH. FUN. She wakes up each morning asking us where we are going or who is going to come over or who she is going to play with - a social butterfly (Joel claims she has the world's best teacher).

So, after a short bout with a low-grade fever this morning (solved by a dose of Ibuprofen) and being cooped up, we took an impromptu trip to Papa and Grandma Hondorp's house to play in their backyard which has become quite the grandchild playground. Papa even whipped together a picnic lunch for Emma so that she could keep her feet in the sandbox, while eating lunch. Lucky kid and much loved.
