LOVE this age

Emma is at an age where her interaction has sky-rocketed. She is very engaged by and with kids, older people, and us. She has really started to mimic a lot of things we do (scary) as she carefully watches EVERYTHING with an eagle eye.

Emma's vocabulary and comprehension astounds me. She is to the point where she definitely understands most of what we say, but is really beginning to talk a lot too. Mostly one word phrases, but very quickly picking up two word phrases as well.

I have to note one thing she does that I think is adorable. First of all, Emma is obsessed with her cousins that live in town. There are three of them, triplets, who are named Aidan, Olivia and Regan, and she sees them quite frequently. Emma calls them her coe-coo (cousins). So, when Joel and I are putting Emma to bed, we pray with her (she folds her hands so cutely) and as we are finishing up the normal "now I lay me down to sleep....." prayer, we end with "bless daddy & mommy, grandpa & grandma, uncles and aunts....." and before we get to cousins, Emma yells out COE-COO!
