Have you ever seen bugs making whoopie?! I guess I hadn't seen this before so it intrigued me, or actually...it really grossed me out because I vehemently hate bugs. I suppose I felt safe enough to take a close-up since they were locked-tight and not stopping for a gigantic voyeur like myself. You MUST click on the picture (to enlarge it) and then you'll see better detail. My arm hair stands on end each time I look at this picture.
I snapped this picture while day-camping with my in-laws a couple weeks ago. The bugs were finding their happy place on my father-in-law's lawn chair which actually makes it rather funny...you have to know my FIL.

those beetles are evil. they destroy my beans, corn and roses. I love walking in the garden during the day and squishing them, especially when they are trying to procreate.
