SD

Our trip to South Dakota (SD) was great, but great in a sense that we were able to spend time with my Grandma (my mom's mom and only living grandparent) as we make this trip every year so that my mom and then us, the grand kids, can spend time with her since we don't see her much (how's that for a run-on sentence).

In another sense, the trip was not so great. Three days after last year's trip, my grandma had a stroke so this trip was to be the first time I would see her since the stroke. That was really hard. My mom's mom was always so full of vim and vigor, fun, opinions and a huge love for the Lord and while those qualities are still visible, it's very sporadic.

Anyhow, we tried to spend as much time with my grandma as possible and that left less time than normal for vacation-type-relaxing, PLUS...with two little people...Joel and I were tag teaming most of the week.

I have a ton of "people" pictures that I'll post later, but I'm still trying to sort through those. Here are a few "nature" pictures from my Uncle Ken & Aunt Margie's various farms. (I wish I had the history behind each photo...)
