While it's been immensely rewarding helping out at VBS this week, I'm glad that we are now done and able to look forward to next year. This week is always a blast and filled with excitement, wonderment and Jesus. What an awesome combo! I also have to note that my early VBS mornings are filled with COFFEE, lots of COFFEE :)
Again, I'm just astounded that nearly 500 kids showed up to participate in the program. And, what an awesome responsibility we have as a church family to make an impact in these little peoples' hearts, and many, for the first time. I pray that many hearts were touched this week!
Here's proof (pictures below) of the evolution of tired kids (and staff) on day 5 (in this "unknown" person's defense, the nursery help had to be at church earlier than most, every day...)
Oh, a quick pat-on-the-back to all the ladies in nursery this week - today we had 6, yes SIX kids sleeping at the SAME time (probably just another effect of day number 5) and enjoyed a moment of solace...a moment :)
pack-n-play number 5, for Sam. She did her job well.
2 thing(s) you said:
And "this person" thanks 'pack-n-play #6' (a.k.a. the recliner) for helping me fulfill my "duty" as 'pack-n-play #5'. It was a tough job but...
=)
I can't thank you guys enough for watching Matea every day! I had such a great time with the 2nd graders and knew Matea was being well taken care of. And somehow you managed to get her to take naps almost every day, and for a long time a few mornings - that's a miracle for our 30-minute-max girl! Thank you thank you thank you!
Missy Schneider :)
