Last night we loaded the mini-van with kids, strollers and 3 adults (Brad was "busy" fishing) and made our way down town to take in the 40th annual Festival of the Arts. The weather was fantastic...as was the people watching - my FAVORITE part :)
The food was good too, though the lines are always too long for this impatient lady (that would be me, Brenda). Every year since I can remember, the coveted elephant ear has eluded me and this year was no exception. The line, as always, wrapped the city block (practically) and that is just far too much waiting, for me. There's always next year...
And, one (of many) benefit to working downtown...FREE (close) PARKING and access to a cool and clean bathroom! No filthy porta-johns for this old lady, thank you very much.
The face-painting area had closed, but the kind lady sneaked us inwhich made for some very happy kids, and cute faces
