Lately

I feel like an anti-blogger lately. Here's a quick update regarding what we've been up to lately:

  • Sanding and painting some old furniture for Emma's new room
  • Priming and painting the walls for Emma's new room (with major help from Jenny!!)
  • Potty training Emma. She is doing great.
  • Cleaning and re-organizing Emma's old bedroom (the nursery) while trying to figure out how to make it look a bit more masculine.
  • Gratefully receiving, and organizing boy clothes from many generous friends (our boy won't need a stitch of clothing until he is 18 years old)
  • making many trips to the east side of Michigan to take care of various adoption details
  • making arrangements for Emma's care while Joel and I spend the week of September 22 in Farmington Hills
  • Tying up loose ends with both of our jobs so we feel relaxed while gone
  • Deciding to place our condo for sale, again. Maybe it'll sell this time :)
  • lastly, but most importantly...praying for and eagerly anticipating the birth of baby boy Hondorp on September 23!

Umm...how do you tell a cat that this is not the place for a nap.

Hi, I am Jen a friend of Lynn's I always read your blog and of course others. My father-in-law passed away and we will want to move my mother-in-law into a condo. My question is where are you located, and how much? Also, are there older people around you? Thanks for the info I can't wait to here about the baby!

Boy do you have a lot of things to accomplish and not a lot of time to do it in! Good luck with it all, especially the selling of your condo!
