Cheesy title I know, but for some reason both photos deal with dinero, dough, cash, etc...

Joel spent many hours this afternoon rolling coins for an eventual savings account deposit that'll be used for a future Disney vacation. I think we've been filling this massive pretzel canister for about 4 years and it's utterly amazing how pocket change can add up! At 9:44 p.m. the total is $239, and counting...
Now, anyone who knows Disney knows that $239 will buy you about one night at a Disney themed hotel. We have a ways to go, but dreams and goals are good motivators, right?! Emma got in on the action too...maybe it can turn into a teachable moment, at the very least :)

In other Hondorp financial news, Emma made her first savings account deposit today. Notice in the photo that she is running into the bank. We hope she keeps that excitement for saving! In reality, I think she probably thought that the $7 we handed to the teller was in exchange for the miniature sized bottle of bubbles that she promptly spilled in her lap and car seat as we pulled away from the bank. Oh well, we'll keep on trying :)
2 thing(s) you said:
We all need goals. Zig Ziglar said " If you aim at nothing you will hit it every time".
Maybe Emma will teach the next Dave Ramsey class with me in the fall.
Eric
I'm going to let you handle all of our change. Maybe you can find enough for a vacation for us too. :)
