We had a fabulous time in South Dakota with family. The drive is still not my favorite part, but we made it through the 30+ hours of driving complete with DVDs, books, music, cell phones, laptop and the internet. For someone who likes to be connected, I was all set thanks to my co-worker who lent me this.
Emma was a trooper and did as well as any two year old could be expected to. She did become obsessed with one particular DVD that we thought about throwing out the window, but didn't since we borrowed it. I can now sing, hum, whistle and tap every single bible school song that I learned in Sunday school as a kid. I guess that's not all bad...
Since my family has a lot of history tied up in South Dakota, I took this trip as an opportunity to photograph some things that mean a lot to me, my parents, my cousins, my Grandma and relatives in general. Photos to come (be forewarned all non-relatives!).
