Just one of those days

I should have just stayed home today. It's one of those days where the Homer Simpson sound bite "DOH!" should have followed me around. Let me explain...

In an effort to be a super nice, gallant friend, I offered to help trim my friend's daughter's hair (Sydney). Let's just say disaster with a capital "D!" I'm not sure how the whole thing went down. It's such a blur now, but Sydney's previously cute, yet scraggly mop is now a chop shop page boy haircut. The moment it took place I saw my dear friend's face go from calm and collected to a prickly red. Ugh! Thankfully my friend is poised and gracious and full of forgiveness :)

Then, I came home and began to feed Emma lunch and make myself a shake (no, not the fun ice cream kind). Before I partake of this luscious liquid sludge, I have to vigorously shake it. I'm sure you guessed...the lid was loose and my counter, appliances and me were covered in goo. Argh!

Granted, far worse things in life happen to people every day. I suppose I just needed a little woe-is-me blogging therapy. Here's to a better afternoon and evening!

I would have to say that 'poop' all over my shower and tubs trumps your woo's!! But misery does love company :0(

Heard about the cut Brenda! I think she looks adorable though. We are always looking for a new 'stylist' for Zach. Maybe next time we come to GR we could schedule an appointment with you?
