I'm a believer that we are all given different gifts and talents. A gift that I know I do not have is patience, or at least much of it. Granted, I deliberately try to improve upon this as patience is definitely a good thing.
This morning we took a little break and went over to my friend's house. She is rather "Becky-home-ecky" or "Martha" or whatever phrase you use to describe someone who excels at detailed cooking, baking and hosting.
Today's activity was cookie decorating (oh, and hair coloring) and not the tube of store bought kind, but instead the made-from-scratch sugar cookie dough that melts in your mouth. The girls (22 months and 2 1/2 years) were going to "decorate" them too. I just rolled my eyes and knew that I'd be more useful taking pictures and entertaining the 7 month old. Bradi was SO patient as Emma jammed her fingers through every cookie, dumped all the various cookie-candies all over the counter and splattered who-knows-what on the floor. Emma, of course, loved it and couldn't get enough of it which is why I had to put her in a WWF wrestling hold when we had to leave.
To top it all off, I even got my hair colored this morning too. Boy, Bradi is turning out to be quite an all-purpose friend! Love ya!

Still crunching on sugar pellets under my feet... =)
Fun times this morning!!
Baking is a fun, but very messy adventure with little children! Looks like a great time with delicious results!
