My normally happy and gregarious child decided Santa wasn't worth the hype. Emma must have somehow picked up on my flippant attitude towards the guy with the white beard. I know, I know...I'm so heartless. Emma wouldn't have even seen Santa if it wasn't for Joel's tradition-rant and subsequent plea for our daughter to experience childhood fulfillment through this once-a-year photo op.
So, I relented and took my own photos (they allow you to take two photos and I scandalously took THREE!) as I surely was not going to dust the cobwebs off my wallet for the nearly $20 they were asking. And, good thing we were second in line or daddy's dream photo of Emma-n-Santa would have never become a reality.
Can you tell I never had my photo taken with Santa? I suppose you could call me an anti-santite.

Does anyone else find it curious that Santa and Satan use the exact same letters but in a different order? ;0
Sounds like Brenda is a little bitter about missed childhood fantasies and traditions
Claire (6 1/2) has never sat on Santa's lap. I'd like to think it's because she associates him with taking the Christ out of Christmas, but actually it's because she's still scared of the guy. You better not make too big a deal out of your dislike for Santa or in a few years Emma will be seeking out every Santa she can find! That's if she's anything like her mother.....
I'm with you on this one Brenda! It's bah-hum-bug to Santa and hallelujah for Baby Jesus in our house!
