We had our first conversation with our caseworker yesterday. She informed us that we do NOT have to start from square one and go through the entire, long, detailed approval process like last time. We only have to do an update, which means one home visit (less than two weeks away!) and a few minor forms, reference letters, medical forms. This is GREAT and FABULOUS news, but it also gives me a slight case of the nerves. I have to re-work our profile (what a birth mom will view when choosing adoptive parents) which took me forever-and-a-day last time. And, we have started to think about re-doing our basement bedroom so that Emma can move into it before her little brother or sister arrives. On the other hand, being that we'll be approved more quickly than last time does not guarantee us a placement or a short wait. The reality is, we could wait for a long, long time before we are chosen as adoptive parents, round two.

Side note: Joel just called me from golf league to tell me he hit a 330 yard drive, straight. I think he repeated this feat to me about 4 times. He was pretty excited. I asked him if we could stop saving for retirement (since he might join the senior PGA) and he laughed and said the problem was the rest of his game.
