Heavenly Weather

Today's type of weather makes me just LOVE Michigan. I just wish it happened more often. Joel, Emma and I headed up north to the campground where Joel's parents will be camping through next week. I affectionately call these trips "day camping." As I've said before, I truly enjoy day-camping. But, I enjoy, just as much, going back to my home, to my own bed, with my own amenities. With the amount of stuff we packed and hauled for our 8 hours of day camping, I can't even imagine more kids, let alone actually camping! We had a great time and Emma even took a 3-hour power nap (must be Joel's parent's new trailer!) that allowed Joel and I some wonderful down time with a little "sun worshipping."

I had a grand idea of getting some good pics of Emma since the campground has a very nice lake lined with shade trees and benches. Emma had another idea and refused to sit still and pose for me. Huh, is it odd that a 17-month old child won't do that??

Sounds like you are taking full advantage of this beautiful weather. Cute pictures of Emma! I've come to believe that you can rarely get good pictures of toddlers. I'd say Emma did pretty well.
