We hope that each and every one of you has had a blessed year and that you will join us, in faith, as we eagerly await to see what God has in store for 2007.
Wow, 2006 was quite a year for us! Going from a 2-person family to a 3-person family was quite a change; a very welcomed change, indeed! It strikes me that Emma is almost 11 months old. This time last year we were praying fervently for a birth mom to choose us as parents. God was faithful and answered our prayers far sooner than we imagined possible.
Along with family changes come major life changes. With that being said, Joel and I find ourselves, this New Year's Eve, at home watching T.V. (contently I might add). Although, we were lucky enough to get away with some friends for dinner at one our favorite restaurants. While at dinner, our friends asked us to name 5 things that we were thankful for and/or high-points of 2006. I sometimes feel overwhelmed by the many blessings that have been bestowed upon us, but when my friend posed that question to us, it really made me think. So here it is:
- Emma-Emma-Emma-Emma-Emma-Emma-Emma (you get my point)
- Being married to Joel. It's never been better! (does it take work, you bet!)
- Having parents and in-laws who are still married and still in love (What awesome examples for us and our kids!)
- Great church family and friends
- Jobs that we love (and allows me to be home with Emma)
