Joel told me I needed to post because I haven't posted in a while. I don't feel like I have that much to write about. Our Summer has been great thus far and busy, like always. I'm still working from home every day, except for Thursday afternoons when my mom comes to our house to watch Emma while I go downtown, to my office. I feel very blessed to have this arrangement as it allows me to stay home with Emma! Emma is nearing that 6-month mark and the changes are amazing. I'm not sure about other moms, but somewhere between her 4th and 5th month, she became a "little person" to me, with a huge personality. I feel like she is fully aware of who I am and that she can sense my emotion as she responds with her own, very different reactions. I just love it! And, not to be sappy...but I can honestly say that I had NO IDEA that I could fall so madly-in-love with a baby, namely my Emma! I'm not sure if that makes sense, but that's how I feel.

She is eating "solids" now (and liking most of it) and she is sitting 95% on her own. She LOVES her door-way jumper to the point where I'm thinking we'll have to repaint all our door-jams, but it is worth it to see her screech at the top of her lungs as she lunges with her petite little legs.

On a side note, our heating/cooler blower began making piercing sounds today, so I called a repair man, who was so nice by the way, but he gave me bad news. The motor/bearings are failing so we must replace the whole thing to the tune of $300 + labor!!! ARGH!!! Say it isn't so!! I'm happy that it'll be fixed tomorrow though. (Kudos to Vanderploeg & Lanning Heating)

Oh yeah, one more thing now that I'm on the subject of household repairs. Our condo is officially up for sale. I realize the market isn't the greatest, but we have faith that just-the-right person will knock on our door. We are not 100% sure of our next move, but we'd like to buy a newer home, or possibly build...in Byron Center of course. I think we are going to wait a bit before we make that decision and see if our condo sells. Joel's grandma has offered to let us move into her basement if need be...now THAT could be interesting!

Okay, so much for me "not having much to write about."

LOL! I was laughing at your first comment b/c you wrote a novel after saying you had "not much to write about". Hello!!! Emma is eating solids and almost sitting up by herself...two MAJOR blog-worthy milestones!
Love her.
