We are adopting!

After months and months of praying, deliberating and simply realizing our goals in life...we are excited to announce our plans to adopt! Our road to this decision has been peppered with re-direction. We initially thought that we would adopt a young sibling group from Russia as there are hundreds of thousands of orphans, in run-down orphanages, that need a loving home. God had other plans for us. The ongoing political upheavel in the Russian government and a recent, near civil-war regarding adoption led us to reconsider our adoption options. We were not prepared to wait and bear more unknowns that already accompany any adoption. As you may have guessed, we also had to deal with infertility issues. We spent many days and doctor visits weighing our options and discussing the probability of having a successful pregnancy. We finally decided that we would adopt an infant, domestically (from the United States). We also decided to be open to adopting a baby that is a different race than our own, as well as twins or triplets. We don't know what the Lord has in store for us, but we can plan on results far better than our imagination can even muster!
