We left Byron Center at 6:00am with our first destination being a Holiday Inn Express in Chattanooga, TN. We arrived there a bit after 5:00pm, later than we had hoped, but with kids...that's how it goes.
We are very grateful that both kids travel so well. I grew up taking lot of road trips with my family (and loved them) and always hoped we had kids that would travel well, too. Yea! Aside from a few momentary meltdowns that were followed by the head-bob and snoozes...all went perfectly!
Sam protested a few times, but the DVD player +entertainment by Emma helped
ease the strapped-in-a-car-seat pain

Occasionally we let Emma out of her seat to give Sam a snack. We have noticed lately that shehas become an extra set of HELPFUL hands...most of the time.
And, while Emma is excited about Disney, her greatest love is swimming!
