Mean mom

One thing we do well is make use of parks - State parks, county parks, city parks, township parks, etc. Since we live in a condo (and don't have our own back yard, jungle gym) and Emma is a high-energy, on-the-move type girl, we like to wear her out when possible - which also means she sleeps well.

If the weather is decent (it doesn't even have to be perfect), you will more than likely find us at a park - morning and/or night. Emma loves the park and always asks which park we are going to. She seriously knows the name of about 10 parks.

Anyhow, lots of fresh air and play time can sometimes make for a tired, irritable girl - as seen here. You may think I'm a mean mom for not swooping her into my arms and comforting her, but she's a resilient little girl and will often end a "fit" by laughing after I give her my "whoa is me" smirk since whatever she is "fitting" about is usually inconsequential. I thought the pictures were cute, actually.
