I'm not sure about other parents, but there I times I can let my mind wander and begin to think about this-or-that...wishing my kid was less of this or more of that. It is then that I have to make a conscience decision to stop, relax, breath deeply and embrace all that the Lord has entrusted us with, namely Emma.
My instinct tells me that we'll never hear from any of her future teachers that our child is docile, timid, afraid to try something new, a loner, quiet, intensely focused, or overly sensitive.
And, I'm okay with that. Emma is not (at least not yet) any of the above.
There are, though, about a hundred other adjectives that wonderfully describe our beautiful little girl who is undeniably full of life - 24/7. In fact, there are many nights where Joel and I fall into bed and drift asleep while we laugh and recap the day's events, according to Emma.
I. would. not. change. that. for. the. world.

I love reading your blogs. It is always entertaining and so real. Emma is so cute and a joy to read about.
Have a Merry Christmas.
Emma is welcome over here anytime. We love having her! Tell her she owes me some berries though...:)
