Now that Emma is almost two, she pretty much understands anything we say and REMEMBERS EVERYTHING we say. This makes me wary of promising her anything (because I must follow through) or telling her about something that is going to take place in the future (because she'll talk about it and/or repeat it until my brink of insanity).
This morning Emma was begging me to color and I told her 'no' and that we could do it after her nap. The moment she woke up, I heard her over the monitor, "color mommy, color!" So, we busted out all her colors and she was happy as a lark and actually kept busy and focused (not a common occurrence) for quite a while which is a huge bonus...allowing me some coveted time to answer emails and make a few phone calls.

Isn't that memory amazing! My Levi just turned two and he does the same thing.
Last night we bought VeggieTales fruit snacks at the store and he wanted them before bed. I told him he could have some "tomorrow" and sure enough he asked for it as soon as he woke up this morning!
I'm learning not to promise more than I'm willing to deliver :)
Oh, and Emma's new hair-do is super-cute!!
So that's what I have to look forward to... watching everthing I say?? Yikes I better start now.
O.K. I notice two things in your pics, Emma's hair IS adorable and your you can tell that she is your first child because your markers look brand new.
Seriously, I should have invented washable markers. I could of been rich.
