SOLD!

I made my first investment to try my hand at re-selling something on eBay/Craig's List. I've sold things from around-the-house before (and frankly can't believe what people will buy), but I had never bought anything specifically to sell. So, with encouragement from a friend, I bought what I thought was an adorable crib set (bumper, bed skirt, sheets, quilt) at a phenomenal close-out price from Baby GAP.

I had no luck on eBay but sold it via Craig's List, for my asking price. I'd say a 56% return-on-investment is pretty good! :)

Here's to more investments and profits!!

Oh yeah, one more thing I must mention only because I'm mortified and keep replaying the scene in my mind. If you haven't seen this clip of the movie Uncle Buck, you must watch it. The point of this clip is that the school administrator clearly has a physical abnormality and Uncle Buck can't say anything without somehow referencing the physical abnormality (some might deem portions of this clip a bit crude. View at your own risk). Well...I totally pulled this move tonight and seriously wanted to run and hide. I was so grateful to the person who bought my crib set and then I had to go and say such a stupid thing...no need to detail the situation, but I'm so embarrassed.

I have to hear this story and you're not answering your cell or your home phone. Ohhh the agony! Congrats on the bedding sell!
