God just knows when I need the next "peek" of nice weather. When I'm just about ready to loose-my mind, it seems we get a nice day that allows us to be outside. As anyone can tell, I'm not an Olympic athlete, but I do like my fair share of bike riding. So, to prepare for this season of biking, we decided to bring our bikes in to the bike shop to have them cleaned-up. Boy...best decision we've made in a long time.
The last two years of riding my bike had me convinced that I needed a new bike when, in fact, I only needed my fairly nice (and expensive way back when) bike taken apart and cleaned up. I feel like I'm riding a brand new bike. There are no squeaks, ticks, clunks, rubbing, chinks or wobbles. I highly recommend a bike tune-up if you haven't had one lately!
Now, with my "new" bike and Emma trailing behind me in her carrier...I have to avoid the ice cream shop that I somehow feel owes me after any length of jaunt on my bike. This seems like a good idea, in theory. But, the ice cream shop calls to me and taunts me...promising me that cool, vanilla-tasting, creamy delight they call soft-serve. And, wouldn't I be depriving Emma of childhood memories if she wasn't to experience summer evening stops at the ice cream shop?!

Love the swing pic. And yes, Emma deserves ice cream/memory making. ;)
I think Emma should be wearing that bike helmet on the swing... She looks almost horizontal!
