I'm blogging a little after the fact, but we did have a wonderful Easter Weekend!
Let me start by answering the most asked question. The answer is "NO." We did not succumb to the secular-retail-campaign and fill an Easter basket for Emma. I assure you she is still breathing, happy and, in fact, thriving! I know...I'm SO mean, prudish, unsentimental, etc, but for the record she received more than enough "Easter" goods from her Grandmas so Emma's suffering was pretty short lived. And, you probably guessed right. I was also "deprived" of Easter-goodies as a child so the cycle continues...
Joel did take Emma to her first Easter egg hunt at church on Saturday morning. She loved it and managed to grab a few eggs with Joel's prompting. All she really cared about was the one empty egg that I had the pleasure of helping her "open and close" for the remainder of the day until I hid it at the bottom of her toy basket.
My oldest brother, wife and 4 kids also came for a visit. Them, along with the rest of my family makes for a very, very busy household and Easter brunch (YUMMY!). My mom and dad are troopers for continuing to host 16+ people many times a year for various holidays!

1 thing(s) you said:
Brenda - you look adorable in that picture with Emma on your shoulders. It must be the new hair color! =)
My kids get gifts from one set of grandparents and do an Easter Egg hunt at their other grandparents ... so Paige's laments about not getting anything for Easter really were false. (And extra selfish in my book.)
If Bradi doesn't have time to post, put her baby's gender and name on your blog, o.k.?
