ONE YEAR AGO TODAY was the day I got the call from the adoption agency, saying that we had been chosen by a birth mom. It still astounds me how it all worked out (and Emma is almost one year old!). God is so good, we are blessed.

Emma has an odd love affair with our fridge. The moment it is opened, her "bat" ears prompt her little legs to come a runnin'
We just bought a new, walk-thru gate. Emma does not enjoy feeling like a jail-bird.
Emma prefers to sit IN (and ON) her toy chest rather than play WITH the actual toys.
Emma LOVES bath time. She pants until we lift her into the tub.
