It's been a while since I've posted. Let me begin by saying that the election was a bit depressing for me, locally and around the country. The two-year election cycle has dictated my (and Joel's) life for so many years that you'd think I'd know how to "shake" election night results once it was over...i'm still working on it :)
Anyway, life moves on and that's a good thing. The weekend after the election I headed to North Carolina with my girlfriend Lynn to go see another girlfriend, Veronica, and her family. It was an awesome weekend of re-kindling friendships and relaxation. Before we left, Veronica kept asking what we wanted to do while we were there and I told her we wanted to sleep-in, drink coffee, read, watch T.V, shop and go out to eat. We were successful and we did it all!
