Thanksgiving, Christmas and everything in between

I have to apologize for not updating the blog since early November! We reached cruise-control in our adoption process and don't really have anything new to report. We have done everything we can do (paperwork, homestudy, profile) and are now just patiently waiting :)

We had a quiet and relaxing Thanksgiving Day (last one?) that we spent at Joel's mom and dad's house, along with my mom and dad. Yes, they get along like peaches-n-cream and its a wonderful blessing! In fact, they've even traveled together, more than once.

We also had a great Christmas. We were able to celebrate with my family on Friday and then with Joel's family yesterday. It's always fun to get together with family and I look forward to having my little sister fly in from California the few times of year that she does.

Well...as we begin 2006, we pray and hope for BIG changes to our family despite the anxious (and exciting) feelings that arise each time I try to envision the reality that lies ahead!

In the meantime, life will continue to fly-by at Mach-3 as we both keep busy with our full-time jobs, family, friends, church, hobbies and whatever else lands on our plates!
